Monday: 12:00pm – 8:00pm
Tuesday: 12:00pm – 8:00pm
Wednesday: 12:00pm – 8:00pm
Thursday: 12:00pm – 8:00pm
Friday: 12:00pm – 8:00pm
*Hours may vary depending on need
General Description of the Position:
This position involves assisting people supported with developing work skills necessary to obtain and maintain employment in the community. Provide on-going support to the people supported working at various employment sites within the community. Provide the supports necessary to ensure success at future employment opportunities.
· Valid driver’s license. Must be insurable and have a safe driving record.
· Graduation from an accredited high school, with preference for college education.
· Experience in working with developmentally disabled adults preferred.
· Must pass a qualifying background check.
Must have a negative drug test.
1. Service Management – Contracts
a. Uphold standards of work contract at all times, which may include assisting with finding or providing coverage for contracts as needed.
b. Understand each contract in order to complete quality checks of performance.
c. Maintain and model positive and professional working relationships with the person supported, contracts, and other agency employees.
2. Service Management – General
a. Provide discretion, good judgment, organizational ability, initiative and the ability to work independently.
b. Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
c. Provide transportation to people supported as needed.
d. Possess excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
e. Fill in for Team Leader or as a crew member when absences or situations arise.
f. Attend meetings and on-going training as assigned.
3. Provide Leadership to Persons Supported
a. Role model the Power of B and Teamwork Principles.
b. Consistently model appropriate work skills and hold persons supported to the same expectations.
c. Model and teach appropriate interaction with supervisors and co-workers at job location.
d. Provide follow up, retraining and support as required to ensure tasks are completed to acceptable quality standards.
e. Monitor the person supported’s work performance and provide feedback and prompts when needed.
f. Ensure safety is being maintained in the work environment at all times.
