Good Samaritan Society Echo Ridge is seeking enthusiastic individuals for the position of Housekeeper/Universal Worker.  The starting pay range is $10.75 to $13.37 per hour, depending on experience. The position includes housekeeping responsibilities and assisting our Residents during the mid-day meal.  This can be a physically demanding job, requiring frequent bending, pushing, pulling, and walking.  Shift is 8 am to 4:30 pm (32 hours per week) and includes every other weekend and holiday.  No experience needed. This position requires a commitment to teamwork and experience in a commercial kitchen.  Shifts include 5:30 am – 2 pm, 7 am – 3:30 pm, or 10 am – 6:30 pm.  Every other weekend and holiday is required.

General Description of the Position:
Provide day-to-day training and rehabilitation services to the contract.  Serves as liaison between the contract and agency IDT.

Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age.
Prefer graduation from an accredited college, social services related, or technical field.
Must have valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.  Must be insurable under BHWS insurance.
Prefer experience in working with people with disabilities.
Must pass a qualifying criminal background check which includes motor vehicle report.

Must have a negative drug test.

Essential Functions:
Able to maintain confidentiality.
Provide discretion, good judgment, organizational ability, initiative and the ability to work independently.
Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Possess excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate with contract supervisor/manager/prevocational instructor to ensure timely and appropriate training is delivered to contract employees as required.
Perform specific tasks as required.
Update specific time standards as assigned.
Complete all BHWS rehabilitation requirements.
Complete assessments prior to due dates.
Work with all employees to teach and ensure quality of tasks.
Attend meetings as required.
Discuss suggestions that would add to contract quality and production with supervisor.
Manage hours not to exceed those scheduled.
Collect transportation money, balance receipts, and ensure all employees have necessary ride tickets.
Deliver money to RSC the first of each month.
