RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA TV) – The Rapid City Area School District is looking to fill more than 50 job openings for the 2018-2019 school year. School officials say that includes 24 teachers who are retiring at the end of May.
According to the human resources recruiter, that is an average number of retirements. Officials say they need to fill the teacher openings, as well as hire substitutes and paraprofessionals.
The Rapid City Area School District will host a career fair for substitute teachers April 10 at the Rapid City High School.
