LOCATION:      Pueblo, CO

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Test, install and maintain transformer-rated meter installations.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:     Manager, Measurement Services

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Exchange Company specified self-contained and transformer-rated meters per annual test schedule.
  • Respond and assist in resolving customer complaints requiring meter accuracy verification.
  • Recognize potential hazards and respond and correct all problems relating to load survey meters and solid state recorders.
  • Field test transformer-rated meters per company specified test schedule.
  • Install, troubleshoot and maintain transformer rated installations.
  • Respond and assist in resolving customer complaints requiring meter accuracy verification.
  • Recognize potential hazards at self-contained and transformer-related meter installations.
  • Perform annual meter testing as required.
  • Complete required meter exchanges per company specified test schedule.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Respond and correct all problems relating to load survey meters and solid-state recorders.
  • Operate and interpret the test results obtained from portable meter test equipment to verify meter accuracy and installation integrity.
  • Identify and address maintenance needs, potential problem areas, and other operational needs.
  • Coordinate testing and meter inventory with centralized meter shop.
  • Follow established work processes and procedures.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Four years apprenticeship or equivalent.

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Proficiency in recognizing and identifying transformer secondary connections.
  • Working knowledge of Personal Computers.
  • Knowledgeable in customer electric service systems.

SKILLS/ABILITY/OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Ability to become proficient in the use of office application i.e. Excel, Word, Email, Scheduling, etc.
  • Ability to perform secondary voltage (600 Volt maximum) electrical work on transformer-rated metering installations.
  • Ability to become proficient in record keeping.
