Job Title: Maintenance Manager
Status: Full-time permanent
Reports to: Operations Manager
General maintenance, custodial, and operational services including providing leadership and guidance to the maintenance team for Main Street Square and/or Destination Rapid City. These duties include but are not limited to event setups and teardowns, beautification of downtown areas, cleanup of debris, and other maintenance required for the cleanliness and operation of downtown.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide leadership and guidance to maintenance associates
Assist Operations Manager in various tasks as needed
Maintain and clean designated areas of Downtown and Main Street Square (MSS).
Clean bathrooms, outdoor furniture, and other Downtown property
Maintain all equipment used such as ATV, Zamboni, Kabota, and other machinery
Pick up trash, recyclables, ash trays, and other receptacles in Downtown and MSS.
Responsible for beautification of Downtown and MSS Premises.
Monitors chemicals and filters in the fountain area.
Install, setup, teardown, and maintain ice rink and associated areas.
Setup and teardown of all event layouts, logistics, and essential functions, including general maintenance of public spaces.
Must be at least 18 years or older, possess a valid Drivers License, have a minimum of G.E.D. education
Prefer candidates with at least 4-8 years of experience
Strong knowledge, or willing to learn, about Downtown Rapid City and the Black Hills area
Strong customer service and communication skills, oral and written, with pleasant demeanor
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Ability to multi task, use basic math skills and possess flexibility and initiative
Must work outdoors and in inclement weather as needed.
Must be willing to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
Physical Requirement: Be able to stand for long durations; must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
