KOCH Supply and Training, LP- Application Systems Analyst (Wichita, KS)

The Application Systems Analyst provides system support and application development for Koch Supply & Trading applications. The Application Systems Analyst will be responsible for in depth ownership of one or more enterprise applications.  In addition, the Application Systems Analyst will provide support and monitoring for nearly two hundred specialized business applications on a company-wide level.
Candidates for the job should possess strong analytical skills and have a demonstrable knowledge of both business processes and applications. Ideal candidates will bring a passion for applying all phases of the software development lifecycle to the support and development of one or more enterprise applications, with “Subject Matter Expert” competency.
The candidate should be capable of identifying, managing, and implementing system improvements, and also of building and maintaining business relationships with internal clients and vendors. The candidate should also be proactive, team-oriented, possess good interpersonal communication skills, and have a motivating passion for the discovery, investigation, and utilization of new, cutting-edge technologies.
The Application Systems Analyst is also responsible for:
Providing analysis and problem definition for production issues
Consulting with users to identify current operating procedures and clarify application objectives
Streamlining and improving existing processes
Participating in an on-call support rotation which provides technical support twenty-four hours a day
Authoring documentation to describe application installation and operating procedures
Ensuring system availability by reviewing and helping to set maintenance schedules
Proactively identifying areas of risk and recommending solutions to eliminate or minimize them
Bachelor’s degree in CS, CE, CIS, or at least 5 years relevant work experience.

2+ years working knowledge of database programming tools and techniques
2+ years working knowledge of object oriented programming languages
2+ years working knowledge of application monitoring tools and techniques
2+ years working knowledge of client/server concepts
Working knowledge of ETL (SSIS / Informatica) development and administration
Working knowledge of .Net or comparable application development frameworks
Working knowledge of project management
